His book;
"Hug Your Haters “How to Embrace Complaints and Keep Your Customers.  The first modern book on customer service.

Most banks think they’re pretty good at customer service. After all, 80% of companies say they deliver superior customer service.

But guess what? Only 8% of their customers agree.

The problem is that most people have typically thought about legacy forms of customer service, like telephone and email, and build customer service processes that are centered on those channels.

But a colossal change in customer expectations is occurring RIGHT NOW, as customers move from private communication with companies to public communication in social media, review sites, and discussion boards.

Now, customer service is a spectator sport. Are you prepared?

Probably not, as one-third of all customer complaints go unanswered, most of them online and in public.

That’s why Hug Your Haters is the first-ever customer service idea for modern times – it’s based on the realities of customer expectations TODAY, not one, five, or 20 years ago.

That’s why Guy Kawasaki said:

The powerful role of social media with @jillcastilla and @citizensedmond.  It’s all about the story and the relationships.

About Jill;

Jill Castilla led a 180-degree turnaround at Citizens Bank of Edmond and broke virtual radio silence through the power of social media. She was named “Most Admired CEOs", “Most Innovative CEOs in Banking”, "Community Banker of the Year" and " Most Powerful Women in Banking" in 2015. To Jill, social media is the equivalent of going to “a million chamber of commerce events and shaking everyone’s hand.” Citizens Bank went from having no audience to over 40,000 views on YouTube and over 30,000 followers who engage with the bank through Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram with features on BloombergTV, TheStreet and all local TV and radio stations. Jill ranks #1 on ICBA’s list of Twitter influencers.

Episode 032 No Excuses with Kyle Manyard

Although he was born with a rare condition known as congenital amputation, where fibrous bands prevent the development of fetal limbs, Maynard decided to pursue involvement in sports, first in youth league football, where he played nose tackle for the Collins Hill National Eagles at age 11.  He wrestled in high school, ultimately winning 36 matches in his senior year of high school.  He went on to place 12th in the 103-pound weight class.  Maynard also began weight training, and was awarded the title of GNC’s World’s Strongest Teen by bench pressing 23 repetitions of 240 lbs. The same year, he received the ESPN Espy Award for Best Athlete With A Disability in 2004. Maynard appeared in both Vanity Fair and the Abercrombie & Fitch Stars on the Rise catalog.  He was also the recipient of the 2004 President's Award for the Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame.   He went on to attend the University of Georgia and was a part of their wrestling team, but left shortly after starting his education to promote his book and pursue a speaking career.

He’s accomplished so much, even though he has access to many excuses to not be able too.  Think you have a challenge in your life?  Kyle has a challenge every day, yet, he succeeds in almost everything he does.  Listen in since you too can learn what it means to have no excuses.

Banking, an industry that has been turned on its head. Yet, it’s one of the most lagging industries in regards to adaptation.   Ideas and innovation are everywhere in banking as long as we are open to see it.

Innovation is all about deeply understanding consumer habits and building ideas that connect dots so adoption happens.  Essentially, purposefully thinking about answering the right questions rather than assuming that we are a bank and this is what banks do.

Listen in and hear his story, it’s very interesting.  High customization is the future, what can a financial institution do to customize their offering?

In a recent article on American Banker, Tech Reporter @MaryMWisniewski interviewed the host @johnsiracusa on banks like @umpquabank who podcast.  So, why not build a podcast on podcasting?  Great idea until @MaryMWisniewski took charge.

This show was a lot of fun to say the least.
